CSV adjustment and penalty changes

Executive Summary

The Offline / Manual Billing CSV will be changed from 5th September onwards. Partners using this file for reconciliation should make sure their systems correctly interpret the new types.

Changes

We're renaming certain values of the Type column – and introducing a couple of new types – to more accurately represent the adjustments and penalties that we may assign to senders. You should make sure your system correctly interprets these changes and displays them correctly to senders.

On the Offline / Manual Billing CSV file:

These adjustments happen when a parcel is booked at the incorrect size:

  • Underdeclared Adjustments: Adjustment: Underdeclared type now Adjustment: Incorrect Size Declared.
  • Oversize Adjustments: Adjustment: Oversized Penalty type now Adjustment: Incorrect Size Declared.
  • Underdeclared Adjustment Refunds: Adjustment Refund type now Adjustment Refund: Incorrect Size Declared.
  • Oversize Adjustment Refunds: Adjustment Refund type now Adjustment Refund: Incorrect Size Declared.

And this new Oversize Penalty type refers to the case where a parcel exceeds Sendle's maximum allowed dimensions:

  • Oversize Penalties: New Adjustment: Oversized Penalty type.
  • Oversize Penalty Refunds: New Adjustment Refund: Oversized Penalty type.
